What we need now is more Care and Compassion…

“The thing we have to solve is how to make care and compassion more valuable than self-importance and impermanent things.  The ultimate solution is broadly awakening the enlightened mind of spiritual consciousness.”   Harry Palmer

Practicing compassion, caring for others and sharing problems , lays the foundation of a happy life not only at the level of the individual, family or community but also for humanity as a whole.  The future of humanity is entirely in our hands.”  The Dalai Lama

Compassion manifests itself in the world not by thinking but by doing.” Karen Amstrong

Human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.” Albert Einstein

  1. * Anthony Foster says:

Before we can change others we need to change ourselves. Before we can change ourselves we need to understand ourselves-we need to inspire ourselves and understand that we each have a Noble cause in the World. Each of us needs to have a set of virtues that we can live by and understand our place in the World. Our place is to care for others but we must start urgently with ourselves.
